2) Live bluegrass at a wicked cool club (and yes, they actually say "wicked" out here). The club is called the Stone Church and it really is an old church. It has some pretty sweet acts come through and its fame is widespread (whenever I tell someone here where I'm living, they ask if I've been there). The atmosphere reminded me so much of Flagstaff: lots of dreadlocks, local artist work on the wall, awesome people watching.
3) My new bookshelf! I got it for free from the side of the road. I love this state. Now it actually feels like I live here!
4) Waking up early (or at least I'm hoping that I'll like it soon). Check out the time down there and then think of me setting my alarm for 5:30 AM. I more fully appreciate what all you teachers out there are working with :)

yay for pictures of your life! i love being able to picture where you're living and what you're doing. apple-picking! man. i wanna make applesauce! actually, this year i'm thinking more along the line of apple cider. i'm sending you a letter today...
yay letters!! do you have an apple press or are you doing it with kitchen utensils? i have so many apples now I am open to any new means of consuming them.
I also move for apple cider. Or maybe apple butter, if we can't get a cider press, but I think tossing the few remaining dollars Canterbury has at a cider press is a totally solid and fiscally responsible idea.
I got your e-mail; I'll respond when I've got some more time. There'll be pictures and maybe even a lesson plan.
I'm pretty sure a person needs an apple press to make apple cider. I think that the best way is to visit the local orchard and ask them if they know anyone with an apple press, then find that person and borrow their apple press! And by "borrow" I mean, take your apples to their house because apple presses are hard to move.
Hiking? dreadlocked folks in the vicinity? Live bluegrass? Sounds like our Michelle is going to be all right
